The experimental retro delivers a much more risk-taking color arrangement than has traditionally appeared on the Jordan’s 1u00a0u00a0tallest trim: A full-suede upper divvies up soft purple and blue tones throughout Peter Mooreu2019s iconic design. Standard branding, tongues, and collar panels deviate from the pastel-adjacent tones in favor of stark u201cBlacku201d contrast; the miniature swoosh on the lateral forefoot forgoes any of the aforementioned hues, instead of indulging in a teal-like color. As its namesake suggests, the Jordan 1 Switch features a robust zipper (done in yellow on this pair) right underneath the seventh eyelet. In seconds, then, the pair becomes a low-top sneaker, boasting a tongue at the appropriate height and an added pull tab at the heel. Sole units round out either trim in a u201cSailu201d makeup that allows the upper to revel in the spotlight that much more.

Essentially a variation of the Black Toe 1s with a red toe instead of white and a black tongue, or a Shattered Backboard 1 with red replacing the orange, early images of this shoe have shown us that the leather on used on this Jordan 1 looks to be top notch quality similar to the one used on the Shattered Backboards. The Off-White x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG was one of the most highly anticipated footwear collaborations of 2017. It marked the first time Virgil Abloh, founder of the Milan-based fashion label and Jordan Brand had teamed up. Nicknamed “The 10” edition, this pair comes in the original Chicago-themed white, black, and varsity red colorway. Features a white, red, and black-based deconstructed leather upper with a Swooshless medial side branded with “Off-White for Nike Air Jordan 1, Beaverton, Oregon, USA u00a9 1985.” Other details include floppy ankle collars with hidden u201c85u201d written on the inside, an oversized off-centered Swoosh on the lateral sides, “Air” written on the midsole, and the word “Shoelaces” on the laces with no branding on the tongue. Their release date is set for 2017 where they retailed for $190 in men’s sizes only.
